The Time Budget

In any negotiation, the calculation of time must enter our minds, because the time at our disposal AND the person we are negotiating with is constantly turning……..fleeting every second. We must understand that time can be used against us in many ways, especially as a way to negotiate price and eventually bring about a compromise. Have you ever found yourself in a real estate deal thinking, “I’ve got too much time in this…….I can’t turn away now!”

For the crafty real estate agent, increasing the person with whom you are negotiating against time budget is an old trick…….thiunk about it……making you wait an hour……flooding your inbox with emails……asking you to drive an hour to pick up an addendum…..all investments in your time that make it harder to walk away from a bad deal!
