Lost Canyons is a planned community of 364 single-family homes on the site of the former Lost Canyons Golf Club in north Simi Valley, off Tapo Canyon Road. The golf courses closed in 2016. Under a revised plan the City Council gave initial approval in August 2026, the homes would sit on the old fairways north of Lost Canyons Drive, and almost 90% of the roughly 1,770-acre site would stay open space.

Lost Canyons is in the hills at the north end of Tapo Canyon Road, at 3301 Lost Canyons Drive. The site covers about 1,770 acres, including Dry Canyon and Tapo Canyon.
Here's the revised plan as reported in August 2026:
On August 10, 2026, the City Council gave the revised plan unanimous initial approval, after a 4-0 Planning Commission recommendation on June 3. A final council vote was still pending at that time. Grading for roads and infrastructure has started under the earlier approval, and home construction is expected to begin next year if the revised plan gets final approval. Plans can still change, so we'll update this page as the city acts.
The first phase, as approved in 2020, called for 184 single-family homes of about 3,000 to 4,000 square feet. Floor plans, prices, and HOA details for the revised plan haven't been released yet. When they are, we'll add them here.
